The Best Power and Performance
GDP Portals aren’t an average upgrade—it’s a massive boost to power and performance. With a Yamaha Wolverine RMAX 1000 4” Portal Gear Lift from SuperATV, you get more ground clearance and torque—the perfect combo. The lift gives you room for big tires, and the gear reduction gives you the torque to turn them like stock. You’ve got the option to add a dual idler, too, which improves strength even more. Plus, it’s built with the quality that sets GDP apart.
What Is a Dual Idler®?
Perfection takes time. After years of research and development, we’ve made our dual idler gear portals unlike any other. By placing a second idler gear in the portal box, the load gets spread over twice as much surface area for more reliable torque transfer and the strongest gear set you can get. Two idler gears don’t do a thing if they’re not mated perfectly, though. Precision CNC grinding ensures ours do. Our gears are made from the industry’s toughest 9310 steel alloy. Didn’t think dual idlers mattered? With GDP’s quality and experience, they finally do.
Ride Anywhere You Want
No matter how you ride, GDP Portals can make your Wolverine more capable. With a 15% gear reduction, you’re ready for any kind of riding. Hit the trails, creeks, dunes, and desert with tons of torque that won't slow you down. Go with a 30% gear reduction if you want to take wild rides with big tires. It’ll pull you through slop and rocks like they’re not even there.
A Gear Reduction That Protects Your Drivetrain
GDP Portals lower the wear and tear on your drivetrain despite giving you 4 inches of lift. How? Because the gear reduction is in the hub, everything before it works less. Your axles, differential, prop shaft, and transmission all benefit from it too. Not to mention, you maintain factory axle angles for even more durability.
Strength Throughout
Strength is the most important part of any big lift, including portals. A weak part might as well get left in the garage. That’s why our cast and billet aluminum housings are the thickest and strongest you can get. Combine that with 5/16” backing plates made from an advanced steel alloy, and our portals are unstoppable.
- Our housings are reinforced for gear retention and optimized for oil flow
- Advanced steel alloy backing plates are stronger than chromoly
- There are no gimmicks and no vents because vents do more harm than good—we know because we tested them
Advanced Gaskets, Seals, and Bearings
Our portals use:
- Advanced gaskets and O-rings with excellent oil resistance and low deterioration rates
- A sealed input gear and double-lipped output seal
- 100% sealing coverage throughout so you can forget about oil leaks
- Double-angular contact output bearings to prevent premature wear
- Roller idler and drive bearings to maintain perfect gear meshing
